Cloud Consulting have partnered with a leading company to manage an end-to-end digital transformation programme for a leading blue chip company to transform its commercial platforms and customer touchpoints.
We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect to join the project.
The project is a hybrid one with 3 days on-site with the team (either Heathrow or Central London), and 2 days remote.
The project is outside of IR35.
Role Description: AWS Infrastructure Architect to support the AWS Platform team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support the setting of goals, scope and priorities
Represent the team at programme-level forums
Manage key stakeholders to ensure all are aligned on goals/scope and to facilitate any prioritisation conflicts
Contribute to the cloud architecture and strategy
Guide and support best practice across the team
Must Have:
Solid understanding of AWS platform.
Excellent understanding of AWS Network services (Transit Gateway, VPC networking, etc.)
Excellent understanding of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
Excellent understanding of Security on AWS platform
Very good understanding of IAM
Knowledge of database technologies eg RDS, AWS database services
Good understanding of Load Balancers and Auto Scaling
Good understanding of AWS Monitoring tooling, creation of dashboards, alerting etc (Ideally implementation of monitoring tooling)
Excellent consultancy, stakeholder management & communication skills
Self-starter able to deal with ambiguity
Experience developing and driving strategy, plans, vision and roadmap from an architecture perspective
Should Have:
Terraform experience
Experience creating CICD pipelines
Message streaming eg Kinesis, Apache Kafka etc experience
Bash or other Scripting language
Knowledge of Github actions
Knowledge of service meshes on Kubernetes, eg LinkerD, KongMesh
Knowledge of API Gateway & Ingress services for Kubernetes
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as DataDog and Dynatrace or logging aggregation tools eg Splunk
Experience establish and maintain good practice for developing and running apps within multi-account AWS environment
