A client of ours based in Sweden is looking for a Batch Job Engineer to join their project for a fully remote opportunity on a contract until the end of the year. The ideal candidate will be someone with batch job management and setup and scheduler experience. Candidates will need to be based in Europe in order to be considered for this role
Skills:

Experience in migrating applications and infrastructure.
Candidate Insurance domain subject matter expertise and ability to work in highly collaborative agile environment.

10-12 years relevant experience in Batch Job management technologies

Good analytical skills to identify dependencies of batches on various system, services, file share by looking at configuration, eg .bat, SSIS, etc

Deep knowledge batch Scripting, PowerShell Scripting, scheduling jobs

Ability to create the current as-is architecture with the integrations

Experience in working with Agile methodology
Roles and Responsibilities:

Discovery for current setup (As-Is tasks)
-
Discovery of batch Servers
-
Discovery of batch jobs on each batch server
-
Mapping Batch Jobs to Systems and Move groups
-
Accessing requirement/ask to setup batch in new zone or datacentre or private cloud

Analysis of batch job
-
Migration approach coupled with Move groups
-
Migration (Move Groups execution)
-
Supports the Application Move group for Batch jobs requirement

BAU Batch Team
-
Works closely with BAU Batch team
-
Knowledge transfer
-
Handover to BAU after Migration
Rate: 600 SEK All inclusive hourly Rate
