Kubernetes, Linux, Ansible Engineer - Contract - Remote
Our Client, a United Nations organisation, is looking to hire someone for 30 working days with a likely two month extension to:
- Establish an in-house package repository for Ubuntu.
- Test security hardening measures as per existing CentOS standards.
- Enable Ansible automation for the new server creation process.
- Enable monitoring and test backup solutions following existing standards and methods, as well as recommend industry best practices.
- Prepare Ansible playbooks for Kubernetes master, etcd, and worker node configurations based on selected linux distribution.
- Prepare a production-grade Kubernetes environment plan with high availability, backup, and monitoring.
- Build automations for Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Implement a monitoring strategy in line and integrating with existing monitoring tools
- Implement a security baseline for orchestrator, clusters and containers integrated with existing security monitoring tools
- Implement any modifications in line with Kubernetes best practices.
- Transfer knowledge by documenting and providing all source code developed during implementation, as well as provide on-the-job training and communication with the team.
- Perform any other duties related to Ubuntu, Ansible, and Kubernetes functionality as required.
