Adecco Public is partnering with an organisation who is looking to engage a Network Engineer on an initial 6 month contract with potential extensions. The post is to ensure that corporate Networks are secured and managed effectively, provide Networking, Wireless, Voice, Video and Firewall skills in the development, implementation, configuration and maintenance of network systems. In this role, you will be supporting an organisation Network refresh project and experience with Software-defined Networking is essential. The role will offer hybrid working after an initial embedding period but a regular onsite presence in Coventry will be expected throughout the course of the contract.
Duties and responsibilities:-
.* Undertake the support of networks, covering routine housekeeping/maintenance/backup duties, configuration management, change management and problem management.
.* Assist in the strategic planning and development of new Network communications services
.* Project manage the assessment, planning and implementation of communication networks.
.* Undertake the development, planning, and implementation of communication networks.
.* Provide advice and consultancy on the procurement, implementation, operation and maintenance of communication networks.
.* Take day-to-day responsibility for specific development work on network and computer systems.
Skills and experience:-
.* Degree in Computing or equivalent commercial experience
.* CCNA
.* Substantial communication network administration experience
.* Substantial experience in delivery of Back Office infrastructure support to users in a distributed environment
.* Significant breadth of technical expertise built up from "hands on" operations and managing diverse applications and systems across a multi-site organisation
