Description
We have a requirement for a contract Lead VMware Engineer capable of leading the support and enhancement of a large VMware estate. The successful contract will have in-depth VMWare experience, excellent client facing skills and will lead the VMware solution design for our client. The key responsibility it to act as the ultimate point of escalation for VMware issues other engineers are not capable of resolving.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- VMware Support to ensure High Availability to internal metrics
- Designing, planning and Implementing of VMware solution enhancements
- Ownership and leadership of technical resolution for high severity production issues
- Adherence to standards for change control, network security and network patterns.
- Lead technical delivery aspect of assigned projects
In terms of background you will have the following attributes
- VMWare VCP
- Proven track record designing, implementing and supporting VMware Customer Solutions, ideally with local reference sites
- Strong storage configuration skills with a firm grasp of best practice, performance tuning, troubleshooting
