Description
We're looking for a Control Room manager to join one of our public sector clients. As a Control Room Manager, you will be responsible, as part of a wider delivery team, for managing the transition over 50,000 users from their current windows W10 EUC platform and onto a new W10 official platform. The upgrade process will manage users through the transition using a set of pre-defined processes and procedures.
- Length: 6 months contract
- Rate: up to £650 per day
- Ir35 status: Inside ir35
- Location: London, 1 day a week on site, 4 days remote
As a Control Room Manager you will have:
- Previous customer/client facing deployment role experience essential
- Running a deployment based Control Room
- Firm and assertive character who has the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Methodical approach with an attention to detail
- Confident in escalating issues and following up with key personnel
- An experienced IT professional, with evidence of project delivery capability developed in a customer focussed environment.
- Communications, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of credibility and integrity, providing advice, direction and support to stakeholders.
- Skilled in information and communications technology. Has working knowledge of development life-cycles.
- Win10/O365 knowledge an advantage
- Large scale public sector IT programme delivery experience an advantage
- Ability to assimilate, integrate and extract relevant information in a concise manner as appropriate
- Project management experience: ability to plan, monitor, control and report status information
- Experience of large scale migrations and technology roll outs
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Full proficiency in MS Office applications
