Azure Purview Engineer
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Azure Purview Engineer based 2 days a week in the West Midlands, remainder remote for an initial 3-6 month contract.

An Azure Purview Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure Purview-based solutions.
To work with cross-functional teams to ensure that the data governance infrastructure is stable, scalable, and secure.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data governance principles, Azure Purview services, and the ability to troubleshoot issues with Azure Purview-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure Purview infrastructure solutions, including data discovery, data classification, data lineage, and data cataloguing
- Develop and implement data governance policies using Azure Purview, ensuring data compliance with industry standards
- Deploy and configure Azure Purview services, such as Azure Purview Studio, Azure Purview Data Map, and Azure Purview Data Catalog
- Monitor and optimize Azure Purview-based systems to ensure high performance and availability
- Troubleshoot issues with Azure Purview-based applications and recommend solutions
- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and project managers, to design and implement Azure Purview-based solutions
- Manage Azure Purview subscription and resource usage to optimize costs
- Stay up-to-date with Azure Purview updates and new services and recommend updates to existing solutions
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Azure Purview or related data governance technologies
- Experience in deploying and managing Azure Purview Studio, Azure Purview Data Map, and Azure Purview Data Catalog
- Proficient in Azure Purview Policy Manager, Purview Scanner, and Purview Data Map Explorer
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data classification, and data lineage
- Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in resolving issues with Azure Purview-based applications
