Job Title: Clinical Engineer I
Job Summary:
In this position the candidate will provide for the operational and technical support of medical, diagnostic, therapeutic and analytical devices and systems utilized for applied patient healthcare and healthcare research. The candidate will be the designated technical specialist for assigned medical and research technology.
Duties:
The candidate will performs technical support duties for assigned medical and research technology as required.
Provides for scheduled preventative maintenance of assigned medical equipment.
Follows manufactures guidelines for the repair and scheduled preventative maintenance
Performs medical and research technology operational support duties, including per–acquisition medical technology analysis, site preparation and planning, implantation, on-going operational support analysis and technology retirement.
Trains and guides medical staff to the hospital standard where necessary.
Ensure that all medical and research equipment’s meets all required technical operational and safety standards prior to purchase.
Coordinates activates of outside medical equipment technical support vendors, ensuring that all relevant standards are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
Experience Required:
4 years’ experience in a hospital environment with the relevant degree
