Job Title: Chief Clinical Engineer
Job Summary:
In this position the candidate will manage and provide leadership to medical technology service sections, within the clinical engineering department, that provides for the operational and technical support of medical diagnostic, therapeutic and analytical devices and systems, utilized for applied patient healthcare and healthcare research. They will also act as the operational and technical leader for the assigned services sections.
Duties:
Develops operational methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the assigned service section and clinical engineering department as a whole
Coordinates all operational and technical support services provided by assigned service sections. Ensures quality of service provided by Senior Clinical Engineers and other various sections.
Performs quality control an assurance on work performed in the assigned section.
Ensures that all scheduled and demand maintenance is completed on schedule. Provides necessary operational and technical guidance to ensure optimum performance and timeliness of work.
Provides relevant training to relevant staff
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Biomedical Engineering
Or
Master’s degree in Clinical or Biomedical Engineering r related technical discipline
Experience Required:
8 years’ experience in the maintenance of biomedical and clinical equipment including 5 years in a supervisory capacity
If candidate holds a master’s degree the years of experience may be less 5 + years as above
