This is an exciting new vacancy from an established global business, an innovative leader in their field; welcoming applications from experienced engineers who have worked within the Petrochemical, Piping, Oil & Gas or Power generation industry.
I am now looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a Global leader looking to expand the facilities in the UK, the main purpose of this new role is to drive the company forward and facilitate the timely delivery of clear and accurate engineering drawings and specifications for the manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for:
- Timely delivery of accurate and relevant engineering drawings to the manufacturing function
- Systematic improvement to systems and methods of work including engineering standards. Commit standards to formal control via written procedures
- Review of, and ongoing design of, production tooling
- Run multiple projects based on improved design from engineering, cost and manufacturing viewpoint. Drive these projects through to completion
- Provide technical and engineering support to manufacturing
- Collaborate with Quality and Production functions to instill an ethos of process improvement and knowledge building/transfer
- Assist in the specification of capital plant
- Implement a configuration system in PSL
- Mentoring and coaching others to improve the overall quality and service
I am looking for Engineers with mechanical OR structural engineering experience and the ability to develop from functional design and CAD capabilities. You will be degree educated; however, we will look at exceptional candidates with a HNC/HND, in Mechanical / Structural Engineering.
