Electronic Technician, Fault Finding, RepairI am currently looking for an electronic lab technician to work on the fault finding and repair of hardware components.
Location: Reading
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 3 Months
Rates: £20 - £25 p/h
The company is a start up company in the UK but well known in the US and are looking for an engineer to join them on the initial stages of their growth, testing and repairing their hardware devices before releasing their product to market.
Ideal Education:
Apprentice trained in a relevant engineering discipline with qualification such as NVQ, ONC, HND, City & Guilds.
Work experience with Electronic circuits build and testing (device Characterization)
Job tasks to include
- Soldering SMD components,
- Board assembly,
- Cable harness building,
- Ordering components
Elementary PC skills
Excel, running test scripts, logging and plotting results
Preparing acquired Data in easily understandable formats. (i.e. making graphs and plots of results)
Bonus Skills
- Familiar with RF test equipment (Phase, Frequency Power measurements)
- FPGA (any)
