OverviewWe are looking for a Constructive Designer for our leading client in the Marine industry. This is a temporary position (3 month contract) with a rate of £22 per hour, this rate is negotiable for exceptional candidates.
The Constructive Designer will be responsible for developing the spatial arrangements for the equipment in the compartment, and the development of the installation guidance for the equipment using MS Word and AutoCAD in 2D and 3D format.
Our client is looking for strong Steelwork knowledge The ideal candidate for the Constructive Designer role will have an ONC/Apprenticeship in a constructive discipline or equivalent engineering academic qualification or relevant experience.
Requirements
An understanding and experience of steel structural engineering and design practice preferably from a marine background
Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
The capacity to quickly understand the Company/Departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality requirements
The ability to plan and organise their own workload and be prepared to ask for guidance.
This role will require the successful candidate to satisfy MOD Security requirements and thus applicants must have the right to work in the UK and current UK residency.
