for a SAP FI/CO Supporter (f/m)

Project environment

A global Swiss Bank.

Tasks
• This is a position reporting into the Regional Head of BSRC with international partners in abroad locations.
• As second level instance support ad hoc expert users requests regarding accounting processes, maintaining master data and processing postings. Further interfaces to downstream systems including reconciliation between the applications.
• Analyze incidents in daily processes and monthly closing of the SAP books including all related interfaces ensuring the integrity of the banks accounting processes in conformance with accounting policy and company timelines. Involve, where applicable, IT to fix bugs.
• Lead and participate in procedure improvement activities creating efficiencies while minimizing risk and making processes more efficient and reliable.
• Support onshore analysis of business processes and requirements, document change requests, working closely with IT during realization phase, covering tests and assisting implementation into production of underlying systems.
• From the ideal candidate we expect strong analytical and problem solving skills, a solid accounting knowhow combined with IT background with SAP, preferably experience in project work (change management).

Requirements

• Experience in financial accounting with SAP CO and SAP FI including sub modules Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Customizing SAP FI and CO, ideally ABAP coding knowhow.
• Must be proficient in financial analysis with strong Excel and Access skills and an aptitude to work with complex scenarios.

Soft skills

• Specifically, the candidate must have excellent communication skills in English both written and oral and proven experience in facilitate between parties in difficult situations.
• A key team player, with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• An innovative approach in problem solving and drive to address proactively possible areas of improvement.
