Our Client an Investment Bank in the City Of London are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager on a contractual basis.This contract will be based on site.
PURPOSE
The Procurement Manager, Professional Services Category leads the procurement transformation initiative for Europe by driving category strategies within for our client on a local and global basis, with a specific focus on the PS category including. Accountable for leading large, complex negotiations of PS procurement initiatives in collaboration with the business and accepts full responsibility, together with the Head of Procurement Europe, for creating solutions that meet business requirements while driving value for our client as measured by savings / cost avoidance achieved

Required:
- Minimum of 5 years sourcing experience at a professional level
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Strong client focus, relationship building and change mindset
- Solid financial and business acumen
- Effective project management skills
- Advanced knowledge in Software, Hardware and Telecoms categories
- Good understanding of eSourcing / eProcurement systems
- Strong organizational and political awareness
- Solid understanding of European Procurement Law implementing purchase contracts and supply agreements
- Solid knowledge of current banking related legislation within the IT space
- Solid knowledge of external commercial developments and emerging best practice
- Current understanding of the financial sector and the latest FCA regulations
- Able to work with minimal direction and under pressure
Education:
- A recognized graduate degree with related experience
- MCIPS preferred
