Description

I am currently working with an independent automation systems integrator, who are recruiting for a Control System Engineer to be based on site at a Large Pharmaceutical plant in Cheshire.

The successful candidate will provide on-site customer support services, which will include, but not limited to, project implementation, troubleshooting, and system configurations. The Engineer will be expected to install, configure, and perform risk-based validation in accordance with Client QMS requirements.

Contract Length: 6 Months
Start Date ASAP

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

Mainstream PLC / SCADA e.g.
Siemens S7/300, S7/400, S5, Allen Bradley SLC500, PLC5, ControlLogix, CompactLogix
SCADA systems such as WinCC, InTouch, iFIX
Systech experience

Ideal Experience Needed:

* Background in Electronics, including PC and PLC based systems
* Computer Skills and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and computer hardware
* Knowledgeable in packaging industry automation products
* Understanding of service delivery methodology
* Acts in a professional manner and enhances customer satisfaction.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels for the organisation
* Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
* Direct customer interface experience
* Documentation skills
* Follows all necessary compliance with safety regulations and knowledge of FDA/MHRA regulations and standards.
* Knowledge of GAMP 5, EU Annex 11 and pharmaceutical/healthcare, biopharmaceutical or medical device industry would be advantageous.

Applicant should be competent in the design, development and implementation of projects using a variety of manufacturers PLC / SCADA solutions on a variety of projects. This role would be a supporting role to the Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager.

Appropriate training will be provided where required and in line with business requirements.

Applicants may not have knowledge of all these systems but should have a good knowledge of at least one PLC and one SCADA system with sufficient practical experience to be able to work with other types of systems as dictated by project requirements.

The candidate will be expected to produce project documentation, such as design documentation and test specifications and expected to review documents produced by junior engineers.

Good documentation & communication skills are essential for this role.

OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS

Additional skills in DCS systems such as Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, ABB System 800xa, Allen Bradley ProcessLogix, Honeywell Plantscape/Experion would be of benefit.
