Description
My client is currently a top 10 main contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £5bn. Within the company the Rail Division is renowned for working on some of the largest and most prestigious projects for clients including Network Rail, HS2, Crossrail etc. They provide solutions for station development, signalling projects, OHL installations and major civil engineering works.My client is looking for 6 Engineers based between York and Euston.
Qualifications required:
Possess an Honours Degree in Electrical (and Electronic) Engineering or an associated subject. (Having studied Power Engineering in a university setting).
Preferably a member of a professional institution such as the IET, although not essential
Chartering and registration with the EC is desirable but not essential
Technical Skills required:
2-10 years plus experience of Power Engineering within a Railways Traction Power or within an ESI Transmission and Distribution setting is highly desirable. (Although skilled power engineering experience from a relevant industry will be considered).
A Good fundamental understanding of AC and DC Power Transmission is highly desirable.
A background of developing Traction Power Supplies Designs for AC (25kV, kV) and DC (750V/1500V) based railway infrastructure schemes is desirable.
Long term contracts are on offer and negotiable market rates will be available depending on experience.
Although specific roles, all levels of experience will be considered.
