Information Security OfficerResponsibilitiesDevelop and administer system and information ownership
Work with the group Information Security officer to ensure these policies meet external legislation ) and are in line with best in class industry standards, achieving accreditation where appropriate.
Support the implementation of information security, IT Security, data protection and end user computing policies and standards
Maintain an overarching view on all technical vulnerabilities and threats across the company and manages associated risks to protect the companies systems and data.
Support and monitor the application of other policies, including standards that determine access privileges, control structures, resources and recovery requirements
Monitor and recognise problems by working with third parties and internal staff in identifying abnormalities; reporting security violations and undertaking/supporting mitigation actions.
Identify security and data protection improvements
Key competencies
Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices- Minimum 3-5 years
Experience in meeting ISO27001, BS10012 standards
Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
Experience with software and security architectures
