Description

Financial Crime Advisor required for a Tier 1 Private bank based in London.

The role requires you to implement the compliance framework to meet the requirements of anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, anti-bribery & corruption and economic sanctions laws and regulations for the Private Bank.

Acting in this Financial Crime Advisory function you will cover all business units within the UK. You will be required to provide bankers, relationship managers, risk managers and colleagues with financial crime advice on political exposure, adverse media, bribery & corruption and source of wealth.

You will work closely with compliance teams in order to deliver a co-ordinated approach.

Some of the main responsibilities of this role will be to provide direction to the business on a range of matters such as PEP account opening requests to restricted accounts.

You will need to provide leadership to the Private Banking business on end to end policies and procedures around CDD, AML, Sanctions and Bribery & Corruption.

Upon receiving SARs from employees you will need to evaluate, investigate, and recommend whether disclosure to the relevant authorities/police is required. You will also be reviewing alerts generated by automated transaction monitoring systems. Which need to be investigated and any disclosures to the relevant authorities should be made at your discretion.

With ever changing regulations you also need to ensure local policies and procedures are altered to incorporate such changes.
