Job description:- be able to lead the procurement process from start to finish, including complex tender's, contracts and competitive tendering.
- Undertake strategic planning to achieve implementation of change in line with local and national policies and initiatives.
- Contract management relative to clinical/non-clinical services
- To contribute to changes in the Trust's delivery of healthcare, where appropriate identifying and implementing innovative solutions to support the organisation's strategic development.
Required skills:
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior role in purchasing with 2 years being in the NHS
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Contracting procedures
- Competitive tendering
- Comfortable managing a team
