Description
*Analysing and documenting the current product data 'as is' processes to support the definition and design of the new product integration process across multiple systems.*Working with the Business Analysts and Business teams to identify data sources, assessing data quality and identifying and implementing any remediation/cleansing activities to ensure quality data is migrated to the new solution.
*Produce a functional approach and plan for cleanse, transformation and migration of all required data.
*Creation of a Data Flow Diagram incorporating all the data fields for inputs, outputs and interfaces.
*Creation of data maps to provide a standardised list of all the data fields for inputs, outputs and interfaces.
*Work with the implementation partner to design the data map for migrationensuring documented field attributes for the corresponding fields e.g. character set, validation, structure and format
*Produce a data glossary of standardised terminology
*Develop data migration scripts using standard SAP migration tools.
*Data conversion/migration and data transition for the migration phase of the project
*Support the project team in other areas of the project
Design - Reports, workflow etc.
Testing
Implementation/cutover
*Work with the business team to develop and manage data validation plans for implementation /cutover
Essential Skills and Experience
*At least 2 full lifecycle of recent SAP implementation as a Data Analyst
*Experience of data migration tools into SAP, e.g. Business Objects Data Services
*Proven ability to operate within complex projects and diverse teams
*Focussed on delivery
*Clear and concise interaction and communications with individuals and groups at all levels
*Ability to prepare clear, concise and unambiguous documentation
*Team worker
*Motivated to work in an independent manner, managing the deliverables allocated.
*Also able to work in close harmony with project, business and technical teams to ensure the end goal is met.
