I am currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on a contract basis to be based on a major Gas-Fired Powerstation in Scotland.This is a long-term position for the right candidate with a view to a quick start at a highly competitive rate of pay.
There are several packages of maintenance works which need to be brought together and you should have the ability to put together a clear strategy and process for managing them effectively.
If you have specific expertise with Boiler Houses or Energy Centres then that would be beneficial however more importantly you should have a strong technical background and have overseen packages of M & E works in particular.
Experience within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical sectors is obviously extremely relevant due to the standards and regulations involved.
You must be commercially astute and be able to control finances for the project stringently as with all major projects there are budgetary constraints which must be taken into consideration.
