My client, a leading bank requires a Finance Consultant to support Senior Design & Change Managers in the design, change, management and delivery of the Insurance Finance Business & Enterprise Architecture.Key responsibility areas:
Knowledge of GL data models (preferably SAP) and how interfaces from the rules engines interact o Build, configuration and/or maintenance of rules engine tools o Able to map lifestyle events to accounting entries (under SII and IFRS bases) both from an accounting (dr/cr) and a technology viewpoint (processes, tables, transformations) o Research various topics and look to present finding in a clear and logical way using written and visual techniques.
Detailed analysis of as-is to to-be positions for Insurance Finance systems: in terms of systems, processes, data, reporting and people capabilities.
Identifying the gap (between as-is and to-be) and understanding the scenarios and options available to move the current capability forward.
Structure and communicate design options to senior stakeholders.
Liaise with various departments to get a clear and validated understanding of where Insurance Finance is now and what outcomes they want to achieve.
Experience:
Ideally qualified / part qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) able to understand and articulate lifecycle events for Life Insurance products
Ideally experience of Life Assurance accounting
Working with Finance and ideally within a Finance department.
