Clearing Services Officer
AIM OF THE JOB
As a member of the UK Clearing Services section of Local Operations to contribute to the accurate and timely completion of all daily tasks to enable the efficient delivery of high quality operational service in line with industry standards and in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures. To support process improvement initiatives and implement them as agreed in order to streamline activities and support planned internal and external client satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilties
To undertake assigned team tasks of the UK Clearing Services section using relative systems so as to achieve the following objectives:
- Timely and accurate processing of all domestic payments/receipts and associated activities relating to BACS and paper clearings
- Validation of all client payment and other instructions including verification of authorised signatories per mandates
- Completion of all payment referrals within published deadlines and handling related queries
- Prompt performance of and response to all faxed/emailed payment instructions and communication with the Lisbon Europa Hub to ensure completion prior to Cut-Off times
- Communicate with other areas of the Bank and sometimes clients to bring relevant processing issues to their attention thereby assisting business relationships
