Description

Job Description/Duties:

. Define issues in terms of observed symptoms, research available, data, and options, define applications and conditions encountered, help identify root cause, work with dealers and the Product Group's technical staff to identify information required for elimination of problems.
. Provide detailed documentation of product issues and status through the system on a timely basis according to Product Group guidelines
. Identify tests and data needing to be obtained, then analyze to determine a corrective course of action.
. Monitor results after changes are made for validation purposes.
. Coordinate the dealer update of machine(s) at conclusion of program.
. Maintain communications on the level necessary for dealer and product group personnel to be fully informed of issues.
. Potential travel.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

. Extensive experience in field service, service engineering, and Product Support related activities
. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and overall product knowledge, along with a solid engineering background
. Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with changing schedules and requirements
. Ability to work independently with limited supervisory oversight
. Excellent written, oral and collaborative communications skills
. Strong team player with good organizational skills extending to multiple organizational levels
. Knowledgeable of failure analysis principles along with repair and replacement practices
. A commitment to the time required to engage the program from inception through completion of the NPI cycle
. Ability to arrange and coordinate travel to multiple sites internationally and domestically as assigned
Desired Skills/Qualifications:

. Ability to operate equipment in a production environment
. Strong PC skills with knowledge diagnostic tools
. Effective communication skills, with the ability to organize work in a competent, persuasive and timely manner
