I'm currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join an amazing company in the packaging supplier industry in Darlington

My client is looking to appoint a Senior Designer into the Design department at Darlington to enhance the team. As part of our commitment to people development and succession planning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Working within the company's stringent Health & Safety standards.
* Designing packaging solutions to meet the customers' requirements, and opening their minds to new, transformational materials, technologies and solutions.
* Testing and specifying materials to enable packaging to meet performance criteria.
* Raising specifications for production and advising manufacturing route.
* Supporting the internal / external teams with drawings, samples and specification.
* Supporting sales team with customer visits. (Technical / Creative)
* Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
* As a primary, client-facing advisor, exhibit and champion the company's belief statement, values and behaviours at all times.
* As a senior creative, champion the role of creativity within the company, and its role in helping the company to outperform industry standards in all measurable ways.
* Timely reporting (month end / projects)
* Managing trials through to completion

* Computer literate: Excel, Word, Power Point. CAD(various) Management Information Systems (MIS) Project Management (Prince2.)
* Familiar with "LEAN" manufacturing principles.
