An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to join a leading Automotive Tier 1. Successful candidates will have an automotive background and experience of the integration of electronic and software systems.
Systems Integration Engineer
The Role
Recent business wins have generated a requirement for a systems engineer to support the integration and test of the next generation of systems and to support demonstration and trials.
What you'll do
- Support the integration and test of EPS systems and prototypes;
- Support system verification and validation activities (Environmental, EMC, In-vehicle);
- Prepare prototypes for demonstration and trials;
- Assist in the generation of test cases and test procedures according to customer requirements;
- Support analysis and review of test results and test activities as required to ensure requirements at all levels are verified;
- Maintain test results and verification matrices;
- Support and lead issue resolution activities as necessary;
- Evaluate product change requests from internal and external sources;
What we are looking for
Essential:
- At least three years experience in integration or testing of complex electronic/software systems;
- Positive approach to problem solving and issue resolution;
- Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines (Software, Electronic and Mechanical systems);
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively;
- Degree or HNC/HND educated in a relevant engineering discipline;
Desirable:
- Knowledge of automotive electronics/electrical systems
- Experience with use of Vector software applications (CANape, CANalyser, CANflash)
- Knowledge of design for safety critical systems
- Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS)
