Description

Role Overview:

To ensure all commercial functions of the Water Distribution Networks Repair & Maintenance contract are carried out in line within specific policies and procedures.

This is a varied role within a busy Commercial Team administering large volumes of work activity. You will liaise with Client and Partner representatives to ensure Cost and Value is accurately captured, following through to payment application and cash recovery.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To have a detailed knowledge of the contract document.
  • Sub contractor commercial management and liaison.
  • Sub contractor application review and verification.
  • Sub contractor payment set up.
  • Contract valuation.
  • Cash recovery and reconciliation.
  • Collation of weekly CVR reports.
  • Assistance in creation of monthly CVR reports.
  • Monitor and increase cash flow into the Contract
  • General Commercial duties.
  • Cover for other commercial positions as and when required.


Experience:
  • A proven record of sub contractor liaison.
  • A proven record of client liaison.
  • Understanding of NEC 3 contracts
  • Knowledge of work activities undertaken (Administrative and Operational).
  • An understanding of all relevant statutory, regulatory and company policies and guidelines
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels
  • The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • The ability to deal with very high volumes of small work activities.
  • To be able to react to constant changing workloads.


Desirable -
  • Basic Knowledge of Service Delivery within the utilities sector.
  • Previous experience of operating within an R&M type contract.


Qualifications (desirable but not essential):

BSc in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying or other related subject. Min 2:1

Full UK Driving Licence

Previous experience within a similar role.
