A very successful national company are looking for a Production Manager to join their site in Darlington, to manage one of their best production teams. The role is key in the forward momentum of the team in finding extra efficiencies and driving forward continuous improvement, with management and training.About the Role:
- Lead, motivate and develop the Team to ensure maximum productivity capacity is met.
- Strategic input into the manufacturing development of the plant.
- Strategic and tactical policy deployment cascade and the performance management review for the area of responsibility.
- Strategic and tactical cap-ex planning supporting the business plan and innovations.
- Strategic and tactical resource planning supporting the business plan and objectives.
- Tactical development of production engineering supporting TPM, autonomous maintenance schedules and clean down programmes.
- Management of the Department Budget.
About You:
- 3 or more years management experience in production / manufacturing.
- Sound knowledge of the lean principles and proven capability of continuous improvement planning and execution.
- Excellent leadership skills and drive for results.
- Clear thinker with excellent analytical skills and decision making abilities.
- Proven track record of successful team building & team working competence.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present ideas and proposals clearly; inspire colleagues and promote positive teamwork.
- An excellent resource investigator.
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications.
- Experience of people management and employment law knowledge.
