Description
As Quantity Surveyor you'll play a key role in helping the business to control its finances during the full lifetime of projects. You'll achieve this via optimisation of our supplier and/or internal costs, setting internal build budgets and maximising and safeguarding customer revenue with a key focus on business case and offer preparation.
What will this entail?
- Preparation, management and analysis of tendering documentation and process
- Optimisation of third party cost control
- Review, negotiation and approval of project-related supplier costs
- Working within a team involved in project design concept formulation and review
All this will require the development of productive relationships with customer and supplier counterparts.
With at least an HND level qualification in Quantity Surveying, and ideally a formal professional qualification (RICS or similar), you'll have a proven post-qualification track record, ideally within the telecommunications arena, and involving building refurbishment, civils and mast/structure maintenance. Your familiarity with the bid and tender process will complement your ability to negotiate successfully with client and suppliers and rigorous approach to cost control and measurement throughout the project life cycle.
