Field ExpeditorMy client is a leading operator in the UK Waste sector. They have an immediate requirement for a Field Expeditor to work alongside their suppliers of technology and EPC contractors of their energy recovery facilities.Skills needed;
- Process industry background
- Mechanical/ electrical equipment experience (ideally pumps, valves, vessels etc)
- Worked as an expeditor
- Ordering major pieces of equipment
- Conduct relevant quality tests
- Inspection
- Knowledge of procurement
- QA certification knowledge
- Quality control
- QC Vendor/ acceptance
- Visiting vendors and carrying out inspections and/or audits
- Dealing with designers
- Organising orders over the phone and dealing with different subcontractors
- Ensure document control systems are followed by all parties involved in project delivery
- Conduct internal audits and supplier audits of management and production systems
- Review supplier quality plans and inspection and test plans
- Liaise with design team, suppliers and client
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on inspection status and manufacturing issues
- Expedite closure of punch lists
