My Client based in Mancheter require an information security officer

Responsibilities

Create, implement and maintain the UK Information Security Rules in line with Group requirements;

Ensure existing business processes and external supplier relationships are reviewed in line with Information Security best practice, UK regulatory requirements and group expectations;

Provide appropriate advice and interpretation of Information Security best practice and UK regulatory requirements as new products / systems are developed;

Coordinate the delivery of information security initiatives within the UK;

Provide assurance activities to assess the effective implementation and operation of systems and controls to manage the information security risks;

Respond to queries from our branches and other colleagues on information security;

Review and maintain the information security training programme and deliver other ad hoc awareness and in-depth training as necessary;

Provide oversight and assurance activity to the business continuity and disaster recovery processes within the UK and support our branches and Head Office departments in the development and implementation of appropriate test plans in that respect;

Maintain a close working relationship with the Data Quality Manager and Data Protection Manager.
