Financial Analyst - Excel, Accountancy Qualified
Key tasks
Reporting and analysis of complex data sets
Building financial models for reporting on KPIs
Develop meaningful ways of presenting complex data to the practice to support better monitoring and decision-making
Work closely with our Finance team to automate the presentation of data from our systems in a useable format.
Run weekly reports for our pilot or project-managed matters and support the team in identifying issues, risks and opportunities for improved performance or efficiency.
Advise the team on data analysis techniques and data presentation, working with our technology architects to understand the tools available and under development in the firm.
Requirements for the role
Qualified accountant
Experience in a legal and/or professional services environment
Experience of financial reporting and modelling
Proven track records or handing large data sets and identifying ratios and trend
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including familiarity with the use of Pivot tables and complex formulae
Knowledge of the principles of good user interface design and the ability to develop tools that others can use intuitively.
A creative approach to problem solving.
The ability to work closely as part of a team and proactively suggest solutions and improvements to existing ways of working.
Strong communication skills.
Desirable would be an understanding of common financial reporting systems such as the use of Bex Analyser for SAP
