We have a 6 month Contract with our Client in Southampton, Hampshire
Role:
To develop and upgrade existing wind turbine systems.
This role will be 50-50 split between PCB Layout (in Altium) and power electronics design.
Essential Skills:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Experience of circuit design
Core experience with PCB layout design in a cost sensitive market preferably using Altium
High isolation, low power switch-mode power supplies
Analogue signal conditioning circuits for a variety of types of measurements
Beneficial Skills:
Experience in circuit and system simulation tools such as PLECS, PSIM, Saber, Matlab/Simulink, PSPICE, EMTP, etc.
Experience with controller boards for inverters for solar panels or wind turbines
Embedded Microcontroller/DSP circuits
Serial comms circuits, eg RS232, USB, CANbus, SPI.
