  • A Dev/Research Sr Engineer will be expected to submit and verify the quality of DCR Issues (work instructions) that they will be detailing and the checking team will be checking against.
  • Attention to detail is crucial to meet challenging quality and velocity goals.
  • This person must learn quickly and be flexible in managing a variety of assignments at once.
  • Managing workload would involve both completing jobs on time in their area and recognizing when work needs to be off-loaded to other resources.
  • A Dev/Research Sr Engineer must be able to work independently as well as be a team player.
  • This person will be expected to provide training when needed as new detailing tools and/or processes are introduced.
  • This person will act as an SME to their design group and should become an expert on the products that they detail.
SKILLS:

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Design (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering program
  • Working knowledge of company internal 1E specifications and engineering standards
  • Deep knowledge of TeamCenter and GPGR publishing (captain experience is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of tolerance stack up analysis & GD&T standards
  • Working knowledge of EDS Maintenance, HVC, RASTAR, Creo & all the conversion format files for Creo, TeamCenter, DCC, Redi, Vis-Pro, and Adobe
  • Self-starting, Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage workload to meet challenging velocity and quality goals
  • Team player but also able to work independently
  • Quick learning abilities
  • Dev/Research Sr Engineer must have a strong working knowledge of the client's DCR releasing processes and the design tools used to create and modify part designs including PTC Creo and TeamCenter PLM.
  • They must also have a working knowledge of EDS (Engineering Data System).
  • They must be able to effectively create engineering notices (upload from Creo and manually) and perform inquiries efficiently.
  • A deep understanding of how TeamCenter works and how to publish models is required.
  • Strong problem solving skills are needed as problems frequently arise with Creo models.
  • This person must be able to communicate with designers to quickly understand the design intent of new and modified concepts.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced computer skills and Six Sigma Certifications
  • 5 years of design experience.
  • Experience converting from Mentor Graphics format into a Creo format to be saved into TeamCenter.
  • Also, any experience with performing ECAD checks which validates the orientation of the coordinate system used to place PC board components on the board would be an advantage.
