Operational Risk Manager - Third Party Governance - Investment Bank

A leading global investment bank are improving their third party supplier first line of defense and have a fantastic opportunity for an Operational Risk Manager to define and implement control frameworks for outsourced functions and processes.

As an Operational Risk Manager you will be responsible for the governance and oversight of third party suppliers into the bank's London and European Branches, identifying and monitoring all controls related to critical outsourced and intra-group arrangements. This will entail establishing and embedding a supplier management control framework as well as designing and implementing effective governance and oversight arrangements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collegiate investment banking environment within a high profile, well respected team with high visibility to senior-MD level stakeholders across multiple lines of business including capital markets, wealth management and fund services.

You should apply for this role if you have:

  • 8+ years financial services experience: Capital markets, wealth management or fund services
  • Detailed understanding of operational risk frameworks, controls and management reporting
  • Proven experience implementing effective controls and risk management strategies in complex organisations
  • Robust understanding of the supplier management life cycle for outsourcing (ie FCA SYSC 8)
  • Knowledge of supplier risk management practices and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to Senior Executive/Oversight Committee level
  • Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution

This is a permanent role based London compensated at £75,000 - £90,000 basic + bonus + benefits.
