Storage & VMware Administrator - Dublin - 6 months rolling - £350 per day - Vmware, VCP, ESXi, Symantec,
My client is currently looking for a Storage & VMware Administrator to start work within 2 weeks based in Dublin, this is on a 6 month rolling contract and is paying £350 per day.
Key skills
Writing Solution Assessments/HLDs/LLDs/Functional Specifications and other development process-based documentation.
Design, build and test network/platform/application components.
Ensuring delivery targets are met on time, to budget, and meet applicable quality criteria.
Proven ability to identify root causes to problems and find creative solutions
Relentless focus on consolidation and elimination of duplication
Good knowledge of eircom/Meteor IT and network, public and internal infrastructure, Operating Systems and Databases, Security, Storage and related applications

You must demonstrate experience in:
VMware: 5 Years VMware Experience, VMware VCP 4&5 (VSP and VTSP a plus), Experience with ESX/ESXi versions 4, and 5, Understanding of all VMware technologies as it relates to Datacenter and Cloud Infrastructure, as well as Operations and Business Management, Experience with installation and support of VirtualCenter running on SQL and associated features (DRS, HA, vMotion, Resource Pools, Security, Snapshots, VM Swap, and Clustering)
Data Storage: EMC VNX, Symmetrix/VMAX, Brocade and Cisco SAN Switches, Sun/Oracle storage arrays and tape libraries.
Data Replication: Remote: EMC RecoverPoint, MirrorView, SRDF, VMX Replicator; Local: EMC SnapView, SnapSure
Data Backup and Restore: Symantec NetBackup (incluSyding advanced features like NDMP, Exchange, VMware support)
Disk Path Management: Solaris MPIO, Veritas DMP and EMC PowerPath, Windows MPIO
Other Skills: Backups, Monitoring, Design and build of server hardware based on Windows operating systems, relevant Microsoft applications (Exchange, Sharepoint, OCS, ISA, windows mobile email etc), Anti Virus, Encryption, Citrix, Proxy, Ironport, Active Directory, Oracle, SQL_Server, etc.
