Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement in the preparation of financial sections of the Group Annual report and Accounts and related preliminary external market results announcements
- Ensuring accuracy of financial numbers and key performance indicators and liaison with finance teams across the Group to improve reporting
- Analytical review and understanding of the disclosures within the Annual report and preparation of the Annotated Preliminary Announcement to provide senior management with business insight into the report
- Assist preparation of papers for Board and Audit Committee on the results announcements, developments in financial reporting
- Build and maintain effective control environment around the Group consolidation and financial reporting process
- Establish strong working relationships with Country Finance teams across the network to support the resolution of accounting and reporting issues faced by countries.
Key skills
- Qualified Accountant with experience in financial services and good working knowledge in financial reporting. Prior experience in Annual report preparation is essential
- Strong analytical and technical finance background (familiar with accounting standards and banking regulations in general)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop software and data mining skills
- Ability to plan and manage data requirement for analysis and reporting
- An eye for details, proactively question and improve status quo, think outside the box, to improve productivity, data accuracy and reporting process
