Description
One of our NHS clients in Central London is looking for a Clinical Coder to work on a project whilst they recruit to fill substantive roles. The contract is for 6 months. The day rate is £180-£220.The role will involve a wide range of complex and general specialities with attention on vascular, neuroscience and women and children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the conversion of both paper and electronic case notes into alpha numeric codes towards standards using ICD10 and OPCS and the successful Clinical Coder will have experience of these.
The successful Clinical Coder will have achieved accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status, the recognised Clinical Coder Qualification, and completed a refresher course within the last 3 years. Candidates without this must have substantial Clinical Coding experience which can be backed up with quality references. The candidate will also have updated coding books from the last 2 years.
There are 2-3 positions available.
The roles can start as soon as possible but the client will wait up to 4 weeks for the right candidate.
