An exciting new opportunity has come up with one of our NHS clients in the East Midlands are looking for a contract Clinical Coder to offer extra support to their coding team. The contract is for 6 months and the day rate on offer will be £230-£260.The successful Clinical Coder must have coding experience in an NHS setting as well as being confident in a wide range of specialities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the conversion of both paper and electronic live case notes into alpha numeric codes using classification standards and the successful Clinical Coder will have experience in both paper based and EPR based coding.
The successful Clinical Coder will ideally (non essential) have achieved accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status, the recognised Clinical Coder Qualification, and completed a refresher course within the last 3 years. Candidates without this must have 5 years + of Clinical Coder experience which can be backed up with references. Experience using both medicode and dialect is also desirable. The candidate will also have updated coding books from the last 2 years.
The role can start as soon as possible but the client is willing to wait up to 4 weeks for the right candidate.
