Position Title: Release Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA 94203
Work Type: W-2, Corp to Corp, 1099
Contract duration: 6months + (strong possibility of extension)
PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS
Work with Client RMO staff to refine, document, and implement ITIL-based Release and Deployment Management practices for the enterprise
Work collaboratively with the RMO's Change Management and Configuration Management teams, and have working knowledge of the processes and procedures of each team
Assist Client RMO staff in the daily operational support of Release and Deployment Management best practices based on enterprise policies, processes, and procedures:
° Release Scheduling and Prioritization meetings (participate and/or facilitate)
° Communication with IT and business customers (written and verbal)
° Release Planning and Coordination
° Deployment Planning and Coordination
As a Release and Deployment Management SME, train and assist Client staff in the execution and support of Release and Deployment Management best practices
Train and/or socialize Release and Deployment Management concepts and processes to all levels of the Client organization
Ability to work well with Client staff; must possess strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork
Provide the Release Management Office manager with status upon request and inform of any issues that require escalation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) or more years' experience in the development and implementation of Release and Deployment Management processes and procedures
Three (3) or more years' experience with ITIL V3 Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release and Deployment Management best practices
Previous experience in training staff at all organizational levels on the concepts, execution, and socialization of Release Management
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Client lines of business
Previous experience managing changes to the Client system is highly desired
Excellent communication skills
