Product Configuration Architect - Warwick - DOE +BenefitsExcellent opportunity for a Product Configuration Architect to join a European leader with the design and manufacture heavy duty vehicles based around Warwickshire.
You will be working with an company that has made precision-made vehicle since the early 1900's. The company holds approximately 60% of the UK market, with turnover in the region of 170m per year.
As a Configuration Architect you will involved with the design and architecture of a rules based logic system against different product variants within selected software. Create and implement different configuration models, and manage the maintenance of the Configuration system.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal part in architecting the Rules Based Engineering System. Design, implementation and maintenance of this development solution will ensure a strong link between engineering and sales departments.
Skills/Experience
- Experience in full lifecycle projects (Architecture Requirements Capture through to implementation and maintenance)
- Experience in rules based engineering is essential
- Some commercial and project-based experience in feasibility studies of various Configuration Packages
- Experience of using and ideally liaising with the system vendor for establish the architecture for setting up the software.
- Primary owner of build and release tools and processes
- Experience in CAD modelling
- Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma
Additionally experience in general rules based software, and experience in change management and mechanical engineering / mechanical design are all beneficial though not a requirement.Qualifications
Candidates must possess as a minimum qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or similar: Motorsport / Automotive / Aerospace) or HNC/HND with relevant commercial experience
