Description

Senior Design Engineer for a role based in central London.

The role requires an Engineer with experience of design in the rail sector. The 6 month rolling contract will be paying in the region of £450/day. Please see details below:

Responsibilities:

*Provide detailed electrical designs for the Network Rail 33kV/750V DC traction substations

*33kV and 11kV AC Switchgear

*Ideally CRE Deliverables have included producing: operational diagrams, protection modification schematics, HV protection calculations (Rectifier OC/EF, High impedance busbar, feeder Translay and Siprotec protection), wiring diagrams and schedules, ETE design, negative bonding diagrams, CTDs, substation layouts, LV cable calculations, earthing design and design statements.

*Previous electrical engineering design, CRE and site experience in a similar organisation, particularly with respect to trackside power including points heating, bufferstop lighting, signalling power supplies and feeders and lighting installations.

*Detailed knowledge of electrical design within a railway environment and the applicable Network Rail and Group Standards.

*Excellent level of broader knowledge of other related engineering discipline and their interfaces with E&P such as OLE, track and power.
