MD Financial Management is seeking to hire an Operations Administrator for our Ottawa based team.

What will you get the opportunity to do in this role?

As an Operations Administrator reporting to the Trade Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the Private Investment Counsel (PIC) and MD Management Ltd (MDM) lines of business through the administration of registered products, PIC account maintenance, institutional and account asset transfers, and providing service to both internal and external clients.

In addition, your responsibilities will include the facilitation and maintenance of the professional image of MD Financial Management through interactions with cross-functional teams in Technology & Operations, Compliance, Investment Management & Strategy and Regional Offices.

What experience will help you succeed in this role?

  • University degree or College diploma, preferably with a business background
  • 2 years' experience in the Financial Services industry with an understanding of the rules regarding Estates, Trusts, RESPs, RRSPs/RRIFs, TFSAs and non-registered investments and applicable tax-related issues
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
