A fantastic client of mine based in Berkshire are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Consultant to provide specialised support to day-to-day business operations as well as managing a team of Core Engineers.Paying up to £375 per day, you will need to have previous experience of managing technical teams in some cappacity working within ITIL frameworks. Providing interim cover you will support the existing infrastructure, managing a team of 11 Core and Systems Engineers so it is essential that you have past experience in a Team Leader/Management position.
As well as strong management experience, it is also essential for the candidate to have specific technical skills, such as-:
- Configuration, implementation and support of core IT infrastructure such as storage, servers, email and collaboration tools. Design experience would be beneficial
- Configuration, implementation and support with operating systems such as Microsoft, Redhat, Exchange and MS Lync
- Configuration, implementation and support of storage technologies such as NetApp and Starwinds
- configuration, implementation and support of server and server support technologies such as Windows Server, Linux and MS Systems Centre
- configuration, implementation and support of collaboration and messaging technologies such as Exchange, Exim, Lync and Sharepoint
- Design skills would also be highly beneficial
- ITIL V3 qualification would be highly desirable
You will be expected to hit the ground running and work with the existing system team to undertake project work as required, with a minimum of 3 core projects that will fall under the suitable candidates remit.
Candidates with working experience in the Higher Education sector would be ideal for this role.
