Teleport Staff Roles/Responsibilities:
Satellite Systems O&M Support
VSAT & RF systems hardware configuration & level settings
VSAT Hubs and remote terminals configuration, monitoring & optimisation.
VSAT Networks administration & management (VSAT RF, Servers, Routers, Switches, PPs)
Remote VSAT line ups (1dB Compression, X-Pol, Service levels)
Network fault diagnosis (proactive/reactive)
RF links commissioning with distant end earth stations, VSAT customers and satellite operators.
Earth Station Space segment Monitoring and Space segment operator liaison
Equipment fault repair and supplier management
Co-location projects and 1st level supports
Networks Infrastructure dimensioning and expansion management
Space segment operator liaison
Earth Station control & Monitor systems management and station alarms.
RF systems design (E/S link budgets Analysis & VSAT Terminals)
Scheduled Equipment & systems preventative maintenance routines that include:
Earth Station Antenna's
High Power Amplifier
Low Noise Amplifiers
Up/Down Converters
Inter-facility Links (SHF, L-band, IF)
Satellite Modems
Monitoring & Control Systems
Station Alarms
