One of our clients, an international company in the pharmaceutical industry currently requires a Finance Director Operations Eurasia

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

1. Install and maintain an effective finance operations organization inthe area:

a) Capacity:

- Capacity to support timely and adequately the continuing growth
- Cost effectiveness by installing a structure and a team:
- Compliance with all financial external regulations and internalpolicies

b) Responsibility:

- Accountability for all Statutory Finance matters:
* Financial reporting
* Coordination of financial operations with the local financial teams on sites
* Oversees the accounting functions incl. general ledger, chart of accounts, fixed assets management
* Monitors the intercompany contracts and transfer pricing issues withthe Global financial team in Belgium in accordance with Corporate policies.
* Oversees the financial planning of the entities in order to provide recommendations to optimize taxation and cash needs.
* Oversees the treasury activities
* Implement and maintain financial systems and transactional flows like purchase to pay, order to cash, Travel & Expense master data management
* Oversees policies and processes implementation and maintenance
* Optimize use of grants and tax incentives
* Representative of Finance in internal groups

2. Installs and maintains an effective Corporate Governance:

* Set up and manage legal bodies and committees of the vaccines entities worldwide, member of these committees, if required, networking and setting up of Customer Boards and SLA's
* Support the internal audit team in internal control actions.
* Implement insurances programs and manage local disasters

3. Relay of Finance global expert functions in rolling out global programs

4. Advise local or global functions heads on accounting or tax matters

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* degree of change & uncertainty; level of influencing required; degree of Matrix working

- Fully integrated business, cross functional and cross sites: R&D, Mfg, Commercial
- International development worldwide: organization and processes to beset up, no reference to past experience within Bio, new multicultural environment;
- Permanent interactions without hierarchical link: with Corporate andlocal Pharma management, with authorities, with external commercial partners.

Education:

Recognized Finance qualification eg CPA, MBA or BS Accounting or Finance
Capacity to understand and manage processes and large teams and activities in a global and multi-cultural environment

Experience:

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a Big 4 is an asset
- Multidisciplinary: the function oversees, integrates and is the reference within Biologicals for all specialized F&A matters
- Influence capacity in a multicultural environment: gain collaboration or convince people who are not in the Biologicals organization
- Negotiations skills, incl externally: authorities, financial institutions, Unions
- Ability to create and maintain networks Bio teams spread over several countries and people outside of the Bio organization: GSK Corporate and Pharma representatives, external counsels,
- Representation role: Bio Finance & Administration representative for external contacts like authorities, banks, external Board of Directors, etc
- Financial accounting experience required.
