My client, a globally recognised bank requires a seasoned Financial Account to join on an interim basis.
Rate -
Location - Bristol
Contract Length - 6 months+
Accountabilities:
-Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual tasks relating to the OEIC consolidation into the corporate general ledger and onward reporting into the Group & Divisional Reporting System. -Responsible for the production of routine and adhoc investment reporting outputs to meet the group, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
-Responsible for the Investment Management Fees and Rebates processes, providing subject matter expertise in respect of the flow, accrual and settlement of fees.
-Preparation of Management Reporting MI in respect of investment management fees, providing budget vs actual type of commentary.
-Assist with the planning of month end, quarter end and year end reporting periods, feeding in to the IA Reporting team plan.
-Deal with ad hoc queries from the Finance teams and auditors relating to investment accounting.
-Continuous improvement of processes and controls, ensuring adoption of best practice and making best use of IT solutions such as the Asset Data Warehouse.
-Provision of Investment Accounting subject matter expertise into projects.
Essential:
-Qualified accountant with good technical knowledge of Investment Accounting, including knowledge of investment administration practices, investment instruments and their characteristics, investment accounting practice, financial reporting principles and unit pricing.
-Strong relationship management skills. Able to deal effectively with key contacts across all business areas, both internally and externally.
-Able to accurately estimate and plan allocated work and report progress against agreed schedules and tolerances to senior managers and stakeholders.
-Understanding of importance of risk management. Ability to manage risks effectively.
-Good communication skills, ability to influence a varied audience, and to provide clear and unambiguous presentation of the facts.
-Experience in MI delivery to the business
