Quality/Production Engineer (New product introduction) - 6- month contract - Sussex - £35 per hour
Optimus search are working with a manufacturer of medical devices to find a Quality and Production Engineer with experience working with new product introductions. This role requires a strong engineering background throughout all stages of medical device manufacturing.
Responsibilities include-
- Involvement in design and development.
- Assisting in the manufacturing and quality engineering processes.
- Support and contribute to quality management systems and regulatory submissions.
- Responsibility for ensuring devices obtain CE-Marking approval.
- Hands on approach to design and manufacturing, working alongside a team of engineers.
Requirements include-
- Either a relevant degree qualification within an engineering discipline OR relevant training programmes/apprenticeship/on the job learning experience.
- Engineering experience in design, manufacturing and quality.
- Extensive knowledge of medical device regulations, in particular- ISO13485 & IEC60601
- Experience manufacturing devices with electromechanical components would be preferable.
