Finance administrator.

My client based in Slough are seeking a Finance Administrative/Assistant to join their team. The main duties for the Finance administrator is to support the Radio Access team in monitoring & reporting on all Project related CapEx (Capital) Cost expenditure & Opex expenditure

  • Monitor costs related to specific Programme activity categories to ensure cost effective delivery, minimise budget variance and to provide accurate forecasting.
  • To provide full cost control support to the Project teams & on bespoke projects as required.
  • Challenge, support and maintain the finance processes on behalf of Radio Access Programme to ensure Client's commercial best practice & awareness.
  • To support Finance Manager & Project Leads on Budget Builds.
  • Support Procurement Processes and best practice.

Specific responsibilities:

Produce/Present regular & accurate suite of CapEx Commercial/Finance reports to Project & Operational Leads to support monthly reviews & variation analysis. Chairing Finance Reviews as needed.

Support Radio Access Project Leads in Procurement Processes by facilitating end to end steps, chairing reviews, monitoring progress frequently & managing escalations

Support Radio Access Project teams in achieving their delivery targets by providing daily finance guidance, investigating & resolving any Finance queries & providing recommendations to ensure minimal programme delays whilst ensuring Client's best practice is met.

To support in Budget Build, co-ordinating/collating inputs, providing when needed analysis on average spend & contributing any commercial observations to support decisions

Manage Monthly inputs to ensure timely input to Finance Manager/Central Finance to support Radio Month End Financial Processes.

Manage & support Cost Controller in shared month end processes by analysis & validation of both the GL prelim & GL Finals data. Act as point of escalation & raise any transactional queries to Finance Manager/team .

Monitor & maintain with support of Cost Controller & Regional Finance Administrators all Commercial Housekeeping - including escalation & resolution of Invoices on Hold/Supplier Debt/Credit Note recovery and monitoring/challenging open PO commitment.

Ensure all Central Finance processes are supported including minimising of WIP & ensuring Finance Project Creation Criteria & Project Approval Hierarchies are maintained.

Provide commercial guidance & agreeing new commercial processes when needed for specific projects across the team, including interfacing with both internal & external commercial parties.

Ensure accuracy of reporting with all the finance tools and systems, providing feedback/escalation of issues to Systems Improvement Team. Support on development & Implementation of new systems including Training.

Attend Finance Reviews/Meetings to support role objectives
Good understanding of current financial systems - Internet procurement, SC Internet Procurement, Purchasing Super User, Microstrategy, Markview.
Excellent IT skills - MS Excel essential, MS Powerpoint, MS Access preferred. Familiar with Business Objects & system relationships/dependencies.
Ability to provide detailed financial reports including trend and variance analysis.
To comply with company policy and best practice in security, legal and regulatory compliance, including compliance to international and national quality standards.
