Description
We are looking for some windows/workplace generalists who are able to troubleshoot problems on our new workplace environment and on the applications delivered to it. The environment is based on latest citrix versions on vmware with SBC and VDI on a secured network, de backend is also new Active Directory/Exchange.We really need people capable of taking ownership of a problem and bringing it to solution, contacting other teams if needed. Network knowledge can be an asset as firewalls are used.
-You will work closely with our test coordinator and other technical teams.
-You will span the bridge between different parties, including infrastructure teams, project management.
-You will do so by:
tracking issue resolution progress of customers on a daily basis
drive infrastructure improvements, reporting issue resolution status to project management
agreeing issue resolution priorities with Test coordinator
maintaining and fine-tuning the incident tracking tool, according to both infrastructure teams and customer requirements
taking ownership of the issues, issues resolutions.
Participation in project meetings
Skills & competencies required:
Thorough understanding of standard Windows business workplace architectures. You should have an extended experience in windows business workplace environments, know a wide array of workplace applications. Experience as technical staff (sysadmin, developer etc.) is required. Good written and oral communication skills
Clear, precise and business-orientated communication skills are key to perform the task correctly.
English-language skills should be equally good in writing and speech; FR or NL are an asset.
Team player
You will have to work in a team, and will have to drive issue resolution by collaboration with other teams (Network, System,…)
Structured way of working
Capability to work in a structured way and to autonomously structure the work given to the software analyst. A good understanding of the border between own and overall project responsibilities is required. Team-spirit and team-orientation is essential.
Experience with HP Service Manager 7 is an asset

Proven experience in Windows environment

-Ability (by experience or motivation to learn) to create work products: system context, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements, architecture overview, architecture decision, component model, operational model, migration plan, tests plan.
-Ability to support Project Managers in the elaboration of the detailed project schedules
-Able to work in a structured approach.
